As part of our customer service, Noelene and Andrea have been trained by Amoena Australia in breast prosthesis fitting. Amoena Australia has been a leader in the field of breast prosthetics since 1975.
Women who have undergone mastectomies or lumpectomies can be assured that the fitting service will be done professionally and with discretion.
Products
Whether the surgery has been done just recently* or many years ago, the customer is able to discuss her needs in the privacy of a separate fitting room. We will also be happy to explain the latest technologies and innovations in the prosthesis and lingerie styles. Amoena Australia also has a beautiful range of swimwear suitable for wearing with prosthetics.
If you have been undergoing chemotherapy and would be interested in wearing a headscarf, then we can show you the range of flattering scarves that Amoena Australia has to offer.
If the products you select are not in stock at the time, then it usually takes just 2 or 3 days for delivery.
Appointments
We want you to feel comfortable and confident when wearing the prosthesis so we ask that you call for an appointment (approximately 30 – 45 minutes) when we do the initial fitting, and then, if we have to order in the products for you, we will ask you to come back for a second time to ensure that you are satisfied with the fitting and products.
Guarantee
The prosthetics are guaranteed** for 2 years by Amoena Australia. Medicare will reimburse you up to $400 for your new prosthesis after every two-yearly fitting, or up to $800 for bi-lateral surgery. Many of the styles cost less than $400 so a full refund would be expected. Private Health insurers may cover the difference on the more expensive styles, depending on the customers cover.
